Rawdah Institute is embarking on a historic journey to establish
its first permanent home in Yonkers, New York. Alhamdulillah, we
have identified a property for the future home of Rawdah Institute
and Yonkers Muslim Center — a center dedicated to faith,
knowledge, and community.
Our goal is to raise $2 million to bring this vision to life and create
a lasting space that serves the spiritual, educational, and social
needs of our growing community.

Rawdah Institute Presents: Yonkers Muslim Center (YMC)

Rawdah Institute is a New York State–registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational organization, founded in 2020 by Dr. Zakir Ahmed and sustained by a dedicated team of brothers and sisters.

We are committed to connecting Muslims of all backgrounds—especially young people—with the rich Islamic tradition through high-quality programs and instruction in Islamic sciences and personal development.

Our mission is to inspire hearts with faith and empower minds with knowledge, guiding young people and the broader community toward purposeful living and meaningful action.

Why It Matters
  • The Muslim population in Yonkers is growing rapidly, especially among young families and youth.
  • There is an urgent need for a dedicated center to support the spiritual, educational, and social development of our future generation.
  • This project will establish a beacon of devotion, guidance, and light.
  • With your support, it will become one of the most active and vibrant Islamic centers in Westchester County and beyond, insha Allah!

“Working together we can convey authentic Islamic knowledge, beat hate, spread love, and build a better world.”
